Boot Camp Coach | Certified Personal Trainer | Certified Basketball Skills Trainer
Derick started here at O2 in 2021 as a fresh face in the personal training and coaching industry. Originally, he aspired to be a sports broadcaster after graduating from San Jose State in 2016. He spent several years in the radio broadcasting industry before deciding to shift career paths.
His love for basketball was always present in his life, whether playing, watching live games, or shopping for the latest Nike basketball sneakers from Kyrie Irving or Paul George. However, training and coaching the game was a challenge that intrigued him, and he leaped into it with no second thoughts or hesitation.
Today, Derick is not just a Bootcamp Coach and Personal Trainer at O2. He has grown into the basketball skills trainer he set out to be several years ago when his coaching journey began. With the support from his O2 colleagues, he now provides 1-on-1 private and small group training sessions for all basketball players and athletes looking to improve their skill, IQ, and physical shape for the game.
